From Washington, D.C., take US-50 E to Baltimore-Washington Pkwy. Exit for MD-100 E toward Glen Burnie and stay right to take exit 13A-B for I-97 S. In one mile, take exit 13 for MD-174/Quarterfield Rd. and turn right onto MD-174 E/Quarterfield Rd. from the ramp. From Baltimore, take I-395 S, keeping right to merge onto I-95 S toward Washington. In four miles, take exit 49A on the left for I-695 E toward Glen Burnie/Annapolis. Glen Burnie was established in 1812 by Elias Glenn, who first named the area Glennsburne. The name was subsequently changed by Glenn’s descendants to Glennsbourne Farm, then later Glenburnie, until it finally received its current name in 1930.
